We’ve spent the last many lessons on reading intervals as you’re learning how to read music notes. Now you should have a firm grasp and fairly confident understanding of it. Look back on the last post and try to read the final illustration… Here are some good music reading tips if you’re still struggling with how to read music note intervals.

 

Take note of which intervals were easy to identify, and which ones took a little time.  Practice writing out the intervals that you still find a little tricky:  a row of different fourths for example.  With a little practice, you should be able to identify interval sizes up to the octave quickly and accurately in any clef.
