Through this blog and my other various videos and venues I’ve been helping thousands and thousands of people get better as musicians over the last year or two. Students have learned how to read music quickly and easily and some have even done so after struggling for years with the “Every Good Boy Does Fine” method of music reading!

Several questions come up from time to time and those are what I’ll answer in my next few posts. Here’s a starter:

1. How can a piano player get better at playing with left and right hand together? (or in other words at sight reading bass and treble clefs together)

Well the most important thing is in how you practice. For starts you should practice your piano playing and music reading one hand at a time for about 10 minutes per day (or as close to it as you can). Then after practicing with each hand individually, spend another 10-15 minutes doing scales or playing a simple song with both hands together. This way your mind can absorb the music notes you’re reading without being overloaded or over practicing. More help on all sorts of music education and how to read music topics next time!
